Clayton was born and raised in rural northwestern Illinois. He spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps where he discovered his leadership skills that he now heavily relies on in the courtroom on a daily basis. After passing the bar and being licensed in California, Clayton worked as a personal injury associate handling motor vehicle accidents and public entity liability before Southern California Whole Foods Market slip-and-fall litigation. Clayton now operates a general law practice in Rockford, Illinois.
